Hong Kong is one of the country that is often visited by most Filipinos. It has sight attractions, amusement parks, and is not really expensive. You may save for a year to get an enjoyable three days, two nights in the city.
This is my third in Hong Kong and this time it is not work related. I have explored the place like a tourist.
I was with my in-laws to celebrate my boyfriend’s little sister’s birthday (too possessive noun there eh?)
DAY 1: February 12, 2014
Straight from the airport, we went to Tung Chung to experience Ngong Ping 360 and see the big Buddha.
It was super cold, I’ve never experienced winter before. It was really foggy the cable car looks like a scene from silent hill.
We need something hot to counter the coldness of the place and then we walked.
I managed to climb the 268 step stairs without being tired, but the Buddha looks like an apparition because of the bad weather. đ
We checked into our hotel after our visit in Ngong Ping and then went to Victoria Peak.
The peak tram line was so long, so we skipped that part and went back to the hotel.
DAY 2: February 13, 2014
This is our Disneyland day, unfortunately the rain poured on us.
I felt like a child upon seeing the place. I love amusement parks.
I got a map and checked every ride that has cautioned – meaning EXTREMES. I loitered one land at a time.
Grizzly Gulch is my favorite ride. It is in Adventure Land.
And then we watch the classic Lion King Musical performance.
We continue to roam around Disneyland.
Thus, Disneyland is for kids, the rides were not all extreme for me, but I enjoyed my rainy adventure.
DAY 3: February 14, 2014
This year I still do not have flowers for Valentine’s Day. LOL I really made a mistake not taking the flowers I received four years ago and now my sweetheart never gives me a bouquet at all.
It’s our first out of the country trip and we went to Macau. We were not the kind of couple who publicly displays affection, but hey Macau was a romantic (place to play Casino LOL)
We went to the Emperor Hotel to see Jackie Chan’s Gold, we went to Centro to buy some souvenir and enjoy the taste test, then we went to the ruins, then to Stanley Ho’s collections, finishing the tour at the Venetian hotel.
Macau is indeed a city of lights.
I still want to come back and visit the Macau Tower for Bungee Jumping. I really want to experience it so I will be saving money for that.
I have this dream of travelling the world so maybe I will look for another country to explore.
I love travelling.
