Late Post: Unboxing my October BDJ Box

Beauty & Style

From the title itself it is really overdue, I was waiting for the Press Kit and I received just this morning. I want to give you adequate information about this box that is why it took me so long before posting. The November box was out and in a few days December boxes are open for subscription. Beauty subscription boxes are going mainstream this year. I think we have three in the market and it is always the consumers’ decision which box to get.

I got myself a BDJ Box (yeah I bought it). Why BDJ Box? Because I was in the BDJ Fair and witnessed its soft launch. Some blogger friends were invited at its formal launch in Taguig and reading their post I saw that boxes have the same content.

Let me introduce BDJ Box first before I unbox mine.

Let’s go to my box.

My box arrived October 26, 2012 via Fast Track courier service. IMG_6455

It is wrapped in a plastic to protect it and it is surprisingly heavy.

Inside you will see a postcard stating the products inside and five girly stickers.

“I’m not beautiful like you, I’m beautiful like me”

It’s a very empowering phrase as it breaks the rule that we should look like girls in televisions and magazines.

Let’s see the items inside.

BDJ Box contents

Gah! The font for the image is too small. I actually do not have the Hydra Vegetal Trial kit in my box but the rest of the products like – Yves Rocher Clarifying Lotion, Garnier Pure Active Multi Function Scrub 50ml, Garnier Light Moisturizing Cream Sachets, Calvin Klein Eternity Aqua (sample), Syoss Shampoo & Conditioner, L’Oreal Paris Lucent Magique Skin Illuminating BB Cream (sample), and L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Intensive Night Repair Essence is present.

Now my comments…

To rate my satisfaction it’s 7 out of 10 simply because the word “personalization” was not achieved. When I took the quiz while signing up, I chose the Beauty Enthusiast, it was properly identified what other categories are and I thought I will be getting a different product depending on the quiz result.

I was also expecting a makeup. hahaha a tint, a lip balm, or maybe an e/s I do not know. hahaha I am into BB creams, I am having breakouts whenever I use it.

But of course this is quest for new products so I am not complaining. After all,  I like the Syoss Shampoo/Conditioner and the perfume smells really good. It gives me an idea what shampoo to buy next (definitely buying Syoss full size).

Maybe they could come up with a category for example one product per category – skin, hair, face, etc. In this way subbies can experience more and be satisfied.

The idea of subscription boxes remain interesting, so here’s how to subscribe:

Would I be getting another box?

Yes I will but not monthly maybe if I have extra funds and I still want to try other boxes and see.

This BDJ Box is a good starter because Php480 is not that bad.

I wanted to be part of the community so every now and then I might submit reviews in their website.

Still curious?
