This has been on my archive since December 2013, I got this as a PR Sample being part of the Avon Makeup Council campaign last year. My blogging schedule is messing up and I am trying to cope up with posting by writing as many as I could to cover the entire week. I hope I could keep my promise.
When I saw this and tested it, I said to myself “this one will work best as a base” and I am definitely right about it.
Its texture and formula glides on smoothly to prepare the eyelids for shadows. I am saying that it’s best as a base because have oily lids and using the cream or stick e/s will just make my eyes look like a disaster (to the point that the product dissolved and went to my crease).
The size of it is approximately two inches and it is dual ended complimentary colors with a shimmer in it. I like the sleek and classy packaging, but the cap is not friendly. It can get off and mess up with your other makeups inside your kit.
Let’s look at the colors.
Apricot Mist is perfect for that sun kissed goddess look. It warms up the eyes, giving you a glow all over.
Black Violet is perfect for that gothic night out and smokey eyes look. It doubles as an eyeliner too, if you want to intensify your eye makeup.
Maize is earthy. If you want to be poison ivy, then this one is perfect.
Storm is more like a denim to me. Perfect for weekend casual FOTD with a hint of color.
All of them have a good color pay off with just one swipe. It’s a little waxy for me not creamy. If you have dark lids like mine, I suggest to neutralize the eyelids first with concealer so the color will be more vibrant. Do not forget to set it with a similar shadow for that long lasting effect.
Is it a smart buy? For me, yes. I love playing with eye makeup and I enjoyed this.
I promise to make an FOTD using these lovely sticks.
