My essential oil story

My grandma is a reflexologist. I grew up smelling efficascent oil with Filipino hilot whenever we are sick. Then my dad introduced me to Yi-Tin oil, a little peppermint oil that he gets in a Chinese medicine drug store.

Since then, my go-to “sleeping” ritual is putting anything mint oil to my temples, sinuses, and neck. I find it better to sleep when I can smell peppermint and the like.

Fast forward to today, I got interested in learning more about aromatherapy as I found out more benefit of other plants aside from mint.

How to start your own essential oil journey?

I consider myself a beginner when it comes to essential oils. I’ve tried getting blended concoction as I cannot blend my own. My first set is Lemon, Peppermint, and Lavender. These are the most popular start-up oil as they have multiple benefits for you, your family and household.

There are three types of how you can use essential oils (1) diffused aromatically (2) apply on to the skin (3) take it as a dietary supplement. Essential oils are naturally safe and have few if any side effects.

However, we shall use them with care as they are concentrated. When starting with essential oils make sure they are 100% therapeutic grade, otherwise, they won’t be as effective as we want to.

Some suggested daily essential oil regimen for adults

  • Take 3-4 drops of Lemin in a capsule or drink with water to balance PH levels
