Pampanga Food Crawl: Susie’s Cuisine

Food & Places Restaurants

I have to admit, I am not a fan of our local dessert. Occasionally I would try especially if I know that a great restaurant made it. I used to get from snack vendors that goes office to office and sell us some.

After the lunch at Apag Marangle we went to a tour back in Angeles City and just in time for merienda (snack time) we went to Susie’s Cuisine.

Susie’s Cuisine is known to be the #1 Native Rice delicacy in the Philippines. They are known from their kakanin and pansit. It is also a one stop shop for pasalubong when visiting the province.

In this post, I am showing you what we tasted and let you know what you need to try.

From the looks of it, this is the BEST buy if you want to try everything. My personal favorite is moche, tibok corn, and tibok plain.

Please note that these are still rice so it’s a heavy snack.

Special Cakes

Susie’s also offer cakes for celebration or for a random sweet tooth fix. My favorite would be this liquor cake because I ate almost half the tin and I still don’t taste any alcohol.

It’s dreamy and chocolatey. It is not the typical head exploding sweetness. It’s rich and dark.
