I guess this is the best time to review this product because I finally got the two lip nectars from Body Shop. I purchased the first one and the second one is from Maven Magazine, I won in their Facebook contest recently.

I am a proud LYB member so whenever I receive a newsletter about their latest product I immediately go to the nearest store and check out the products (ends up buying all the time, haha).

This lip nectar is included in their honey bronze collection. It comes in two shades, Honey Bunch (from maven) and Honey Beige (bought). I bought the Honey Bronze Matte Bronzer with this (review next).

It contains real honey, olive oil, and other ingredients (Ascrobyl Palmitate, Tocopherol, Unsapiniffiables, Mica, Iron Oxide, Titanium Oxide)

The peel off label stressed that this was not tested to animals, we know the body shop’s advocacy, they are against animal testing.

It comes in a tube, similar to Juicy Lubes and Victoria Secret lip glosses. It has a hygienic applicator, hygienic because unlike doe-foot applicator which develop molds overtime, this slant applicator can be wiped after using. IMG_6651 Let’s go to the swatch.

Left to Right: Honey Bunch, Honey Beige

It is pigmented for a lip gloss and the color is not common.

It smells like olive oil, no fruity flavored added and no odd taste.

Honey Beige can tame down a red lipstick and gives natural tint when applied alone.

As for Honey Bunch it has an orange tint. I like it more.

I used Honey Bunch alone in the photo above. It was not really orange on my lips.

The feeling is not really sticky, it actually dries a little fast and it doesn’t look like you ate something saucy, it is similar to a lip balm when set.

It has subtle glitters to it but not really obvious when applied.

Overall, I like it. I do not think they will have pinks nor peaches in the range because naturally honey is golden brown.

Getting this product is under wants than needs. It is up to you if you want to buy it or not, if you will try it I suggest to get the Honey Bunch instead of Honey Beige since orange is a trend this season.

Like it??
