I believe this post is so yesterday as I have seen the new lip product from Revlon from outside Philippines (it’s the Revlon Suede, I think). Well I never really bought this Balm Stain this was given to me by Maven Magazine when I joined their September – October Beauty Blowout contest.
When I learned that I won I went to their office but unfortunately the Balm Stain was not yet available that time. I emailed Abi, their Marketing Coordinator that if ever it becomes available she can hand it to my good friend Jam of Creative Programs, Inc (ABS-CBN) since their office is just adjacent to one another (Maven is under ABS-CBN publishing).
I was able to meet Jam last week during the premiere night of ‘The Rise of the Guardians’ last week.
Enough back story. Let’s go to my first impressions.
I got the Darling Cherie it’s a lavender color, looks good on people with fair skin.
It looks like a jumbo crayon and has a smell/taste of mint.
On my wrist it looks pink (just because my wrist is fairer) but on my lips it looks like this.
It turned to deep purple maybe because the color combination of my natural lip color plus purple.
Although this is a lip balm I do not intend to wear it on a daily basis because if I am not fully made up I look sick.
The only difference of this balm stain among the regular lip balm is its pigmentation and staying power. This is great for women who doesn’t like wearing lipsticks or glosses as this will give them a good hint of color for their lips.
It is available in different colors from nude, berry, pink, orange, and red. I’ve seen other bloggers who owns one of these and the colors smitten, lovesick, and romantic are really pigmented.
If I really want to have this I will get Sweetheart and Charm.
I never really gave in when this come out because I just the lip butter that time good thing I got this for free.
