Sunday Cook off and Baking

Food & Places Recipes

I am a little ill now, my throat become irritated for testing too much icing and now I have a fever. While waiting for my melatonin to take effect, I want to share my Sunday with the in laws.

No matter where I am, my weekend is full of cooking. I stayed up a little late last Saturday because I went to SMX to cover an event but I missed the show. My mom-in-law said we’ll go to the wet market at 7am still I watched Jemma Cupcake in YouTube.

Sunday came, she is still insisted to come even if it’s 10 am already. We searched and bought veggies, meat, and fresh seafood.

You will see mountains of Banana, Langka, live goat, shell fish, and sacks of tubers here and there. Of course, I am afraid to take photos (you know why) and besides my hands were full of the stuff we bought.

The market is called Nepa Q Mart, right in the middle of Edsa. It’s like the closest complete market if you live in Quezon City. The goods were inexpensive and if you go there early, they are more fresh.

What I was eyeing to cook is the Crab Boil from Clawdaddy. So we bought the following:

  • Mussels
  • Clams
  • Crabs
  • Shrimp
  • Lemon
  • Potatoes
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Corn
  • Celery
  • Cilantro

It is like you’re going to make a stew. We spend around PHP500+

YUMMY!

I am back to work cause it is Monday, so my week mantra is….
