Hello, Taiwan!

It took me a month to finish this post. The truth is I managed to finalise the video in three hours, can you imagine that?

The backstory

It was August this year when the husband found a cheap flight going to Taiwan, it was PHP 2,499 per person per way. Not bad, right?

It is also our first out of the country trip together after 12 years. Since it was our wedding anniversary, we went ahead and made our itinerary.

I want to make an informative post about our entire travel plus reviews of the apps, food, and places we’ve gone. So watch out for this page as I update it with links.

Here are the posts, you may look forward to:

Those are jampacked articles that I hope it’ll help you when you visit Taiwan.

Here’s an overview of what we did.

Day 0: Travel from Manila to Taiwan

Our flight was 10:30 PM, we took Cebu Pacific and thankfully no delay. We reached Taiwan around 1:00 AM, then hired a private car going to the hotel. You will see the video that we ate right away.

Day 1: Walking Tours

We availed the free walking tours courtesy of Like it Formosa. We walked from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM, we went back to the hotel and had no dinner. We were too tired.

Day 2: Jiufen + Shilin Market

We booked this tour via Klook. It was raining, and I did not enjoy that much. We went to Shilin Market afterwards as everyone is saying that we should go there. The food choices were overwhelming.

Day 3: Mid-autumn Lantern Festival

This is my favourite part of the trip. It was our anniversary date, and we spent it on an arranged tour once again. I should say the lantern festival is better than going to Shifen or Pingxi just to send one lantern away.

Day 4 : Going Home

Our flight was around 10:00 AM, and it was delayed. We paid an additional NTD 1,300 because of excess baggage. We do not want to go home, yet but we have to.

We shall return

Exploring a foreign land with your partner introduces you to his new self and dependency. We will definitely travel again and explore the world while we can.

I hope you enjoyed the summary video of our travel. Not much food clips because we enjoyed everything.

Oh by the way, we used a generic action camera from Alibaba for the video clips. lol
