I love lipstick! If you browse my archive (Makeup > Lips) you will see I’ve featured my favorites. I’ve loved nudes and corals lately, it’s so simple yet it gives extra sweetness to my smile. One of the newest nude lipstick in my collection is the Maybelline Colorshow Lipstick in Chic Peach.
Packaging wise, it doesn’t look like it’s nude at all. One look you’ll think it’s a bright red or a plum because it’s black and elegant. Of course, if you flip it to see the label, the sticker defines its color.
Looking at the swatch, the color is very romantic. It’s also highly pigmented at first swipe, it glides easily. Though it is not matte neither glossy. If you have chapped lips, you’ll have a hard time filling in the gaps. Also, if your lips is already pigmented, the color would not show off that much.
Tips: Apply lip balm first, blot with tissue. Apply first layer of lipstick, blot again the excess, then apply another swipe. If you want to make it matte, place a tissue over your lips and dust it with powder. I suggest you exfoliate your lips to remove dead skin.
Here’s my shameless selfie wearing the lippie.
Have a great day!
