NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream | PHP250 | Digital Traincase
It’s not a lipstick nor is it gloss. It’s like nothing you’ve experienced before. It’s lipstick cream that goes on silky but looks soft matte.
How come it’s Monday and today is Friday again? I am a little industrious to write reviews/first impressions today (alongside putting photo captions on our magazine :p) and I am starting it off with the most talked about NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream.
After the NYX Round Lipsticks hit the market the soft matte lip cream marked several train cases/vanity of makeup enthusiasts like me.
When I first learned about this last year and when I tried to purchased it, I was fooled (bogus buyer story here) so I skipped getting matte lip cream. When Nicole gave Istanbul to me I told myself that I will definitely get the shade that I like.
I purchased mine last month, Amsterdam and Addis Ababa from Digital Traincase. Many bloggers told me that Digital Traincase is the most reliable online shop when shopping for NYX Cosmetics and they were right.
So scrutinizing the product…
It’s about 3 1/2 inches tall, 6.5 grams, the color you see outside is the color itself. It’s smell like a candle and indeed this has a texture of cream.
It comes in a doe foot applicator and you’ll get enough product upon first application.
The packaging is really sleek and simple.
It has wide range of colors and their names are really interesting. They are named after famous cities all over the world.
Of all the colors available, the colors which got my attention were Istanbul, Amsterdam, and Addis Ababa.
ISTANBUL – pale/clean pink, great for smokey eyes if you do not like nude | AMSTERDAM – warm/pure red, for a boost of color on your daily makeup | ADDIS ABABA – bright fuchsia, if you want to say “hey look at me I am talking” haha
Personally I love Addis Ababa because I believe fuchsia looks good on me.

I might get San Paolo, Monte Carlo, Tokyo, and Antwerp if a store will offer a discount on bulk orders or if Philippine customs will not hoard my items.
